Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) Contact RNIB and shop online for their clocks/watches, Braille equipment, kitchen gadgets, gardening tools, books and many more products. Find out about the latest campaigns. RNIB also provides advice on the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and related issues.

Action for Blind People Action for Blind People gives advice on benefits, housing, employment including self-employment, training in IT, leisure activities etc. They also run hotels throughout the UK and operate four mobile resource units similar to SVAB’s MERV.

Talking Newspapers Information about the Talking Newspapers Association (including the local Talking Newspapers that serve Shropshire, the Oswestry area, and Telford and Wrekin) as well as about national and regional newspapers and magazines, can be found on these websites. SVAB acts as the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin agent for this charity. The Fund provides radios and audio sets for registered blind or registered partially sighted people who don’t have sets, and are unable to buy one. For further information click on the link below:
